food stuffs
Things I never thought I'd eat but enjoyed immensely:
eel,
fish stomach,
snails,
cuttle fish,
duck neck,
jelly fish,
duck blood soup,
sea cucumber,
lotus flower root,
and numerous other things I can't think of off the top of my head.
Shooting's going good. Too busy to hunt down reliable internet access so I apologize if you've sent emails and I haven't returned them yet. I'll post more within 24 hours!

I love the photos! They make me want to go there even more. I'll have to start working extra hard to talk DH into it...LOL!
OMGosh! You are a lot braver than I am!! I'm not sure I could have even brought myself to try one of those foods let alone all those plus more. YIKES!

You know, I didn't realize what I was eating until I had done the deed which is good because the situations I was in, it would have been disappointing for the hosts if I turned my nose up on their extravegant spreads and hospitality. Especially when jellyfish is out of season and very expensive right now...
Not knowing what something is before you eat it is probably the best way to try foods that aren't something typically eaten in our culture. I guess ya never know what you're missing out on unless you try it. Should I get the chance to travel I'll have to remember not to ask what something is until after I've tried it.
